There's an 18th-century pink sandstone fountain, and statues of sphinxes and griffins by sculptor Landolin Ohmacht (1760-1834). The Monument de la Paix, or Bergmeister Monument, consists of six interlocking bronze blades pointing upwards, symbolizing the determination of the six founding countries of the European Union to build a lasting peace after the two world wars. The monument is the work of Bavarian wrought-iron artist Manfred Bergmeister. A wide variety of remarkable trees can be admired.
