LODENWELT MUSEUM
Museum about the history of the typical Tyrolean woollen fabric and its production process.
The museum is entirely dedicated to loden, the warm, hard-wearing, waterproof woollen fabric that protected Tyrolean shepherds and farmers from the cold of winter, and which gained its letters of nobility when Emperor Franz Joseph introduced it to the imperial court in Vienna. The tour traces the history of this typical Tyrolean fabric and its production process. You can also buy loden cloth directly on site - an original souvenir to take home with you! Outside, real sheep, the source of this precious wool, await your caresses.
