MOUNT OCHI

Known mountain of Marmari that has mysterious ancient structures, made up of huge blocks of stone.
Mount Ochi is the third highest mountain on the island, north of Karystos. Its 1,398 m summit dominates the entire southern part of the island, eastern Attica and some of the northern islands of the Cyclades. In addition to its soothing beauty, the mountain is best known for the "dragon's houses" scattered on its slopes: these are mysterious ancient structures made up of huge blocks of stone (mounted without mortar), located in remote places and with no apparent practical use. The best preserved is located at the top of the mountain.
