Just 8 km from Le Creusot and 15 km from Montceau-les-Mines, Le Creusot TGV station, aka "Le Creusot-Montceau-Montchanin TGV", is a major point of entry to Saône-et-Loire, even more so since the high-speed lines no longer serve Chalon-sur-Saône. But the department's largest city and Autun are easily reached by bus, cab or rental car. The station is pleasant, modern and has a store where you can get something to eat. Free drop-off and pick-up, but pay parking.
