AMETHYST CAVE
This cavern was once a mine for amethysts, which can still be found in the galleries, offering appreciable coolness in summer.
This man-made cavern was formerly an amethyst mine. Strolling along the 3km of galleries, one can still see some of them (you have to have a good eye though). The place offers a really nice coolness in summer. Sometimes, concerts and other performances take place in the gallery. There is the possibility to take a boat to visit the cave from the small artificial river. A little further up, you can also visit the dinosaur cave (for the delight of children).
