A strategic communications hub during the First and Second World Wars, Marconi installed North America's first marine radio station here in 1904. The lighthouse, which can be visited, has travelled hundreds of kilometers: inaugurated at L'Anse-à-Valleau, it spent twenty years in Quebec City before returning to its original site in 1997. In addition to exhibitions, this important historic site features an evening projection show (a must-see, schedule on the web), a craft store and several hiking trails.
