A festival for those who are not afraid of the cold as at least a hundred canoeists compete in this ice canoe race on the St. Lawrence River in a course dotted with currents, tides, ice and frazil. It is part of the Quebec circuit with, among others, the Défi des glaces de Rimouski and the Grande Traversée de l'Isle-aux-Coudres. Several activities for young and old are organized in parallel, including an introduction to ice canoeing for the general public. To taste : La Banquise, official beer of the event!
