CHURCH OF SAN GRATO
A beautiful church with a remarkable high altar in Valgrisenche.
The church was built between 1871 and 1875 to replace the old one, and is therefore fairly recent. The high altar, in white Carrara marble, surmounted by a representation of the Last Supper and the Holy Trinity, was installed in 1923. The two side altars are dedicated to the Sacred Heart and the Virgin Mary. The organ is a Vegezzi & Bossi. The bell tower consists of a square tower of exposed stone, once attached to the old church. The bell chamber features twin windows and is topped by a tiara-shaped spire with an octagonal pyramid.
