The weavers of Valgrisenche were renowned for their high-quality fabrics, which warmed the whole body during the harsh winters. This art developed in the early years of the 18th century. In the past, weaving took place in the barn, the warmest room in the house, heated only by the presence of the animals. This activity employed the whole family, even the men in winter!
