A beautiful village, a real open-air museum, on a panoramic terrace near Perloz.
The hilltop village of Chemp, built entirely of stone, lies on a panoramic terrace a few kilometers from Perloz. It is inhabited by Angelo Bettoni, a woodcarving artist who has been decorating the village with his works for many years, transforming it into an open-air museum in the heart of nature. Numerous statues depicting former inhabitants, animals, plants, everyday or more unusual objects surprise the visitor at the bend in each alleyway; in other cases, they are carefully hidden.
