Sometimes a retreat for kings in times of peace, sometimes a refuge for Catholics in times of war, the Stuarts of Traquair have always been loyal to the cause of Mary Queen of Scots and the Jacobites. Nearly a thousand years of history can be discovered at Traquair House. The wooded grounds are ideal for strolling, or for adventures in the 2,000 m² labyrinth. Bonus: the brewery, which existed until the 18th century, relaunched its production in 1965, and now offers tastings of its products. And...
