This museum invites you to discover the past and the culture of the Gaelic and Nordic ancestors once present in this part of Scotland. Housed in the former parish church of St. Columba, it contains a rich heritage of artifacts from excavations and the volunteer work of local scholars, as well as a collection of artifacts that belonged to the Mackay clan. It also tells the story of the Clearance in the Highlands. Temporary exhibitions are also offered over the years, based on the research of volunteer historians.
