Athabasca Sand Dunes Provincial Park is located in northern Saskatchewan, Canada, near the town of Uranium City. It is a provincial park that protects one of the world's most northerly active dune formations. Stretching some 100 kilometers along the southern shore of Lake Athabasca, the dunes offer a spectacular landscape, with dunes up to 30 metres high. The park is also home to a unique ecosystem, rich in rare and endemic plants. To protect this fragile environment, the park has been divided into three management zones with specific guidelines for camping and visitor activities. It is possible to fish in the park, but collecting plants, trees and artifacts is prohibited. The park is accessible only by floatplane, and it is recommended to be equipped for wilderness travel. There are no camping fees.
