SANT ESTEVE D'OLZINELLES
Church of Sant Esteve with a cross-shaped plan with a central nave and a circular apse with 2 side chapels
In the famous Olzinelles valley, the church of Sant Esteve was attached to the Benedictine monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallès. Documented since 1083, it has a cross plan finished on a circular apse with two side chapels that open onto a central nave. Simple in appearance, the church as you can see it today dates from 1786, when it was almost completely reformed. The ensemble is completed by a presbytery (16th and 17th centuries), and a small cemetery. At the beginning of August the Festa Major is celebrated here.
