ESGLÉSIA PARROQUIAL DE SANTA MARIA
Late Gothic parish church with a single nave, 6 side chapels and a Gothic altarpiece.
In the heart of the village, next to the Late Gothic parish church (1563), note the high bell tower crowned by a pyramid, a remnant of the old Palautordera castle. The tower was converted into a bell tower in the 16th century, as the church was erected on the site of the old castle. It has a single nave plan flanked by 6 side chapels. Its old altarpieces were destroyed during the Spanish Civil War, with the exception of the Gothic altarpiece of Sant Pere de Joan Gascó (1516), kept in the National Art Museum of Catalonia in Barcelona.
