VALLÉE DE SANTA FE
Santa Fe Valley suggesting a very nice excursion, easy and accessible to children and people with reduced mobility
Covered with beech and fir trees, the Santa Fe valley is one of the most beautiful natural areas of the Montseny. But it is also the most visited! The valley is popular for its enchanting and mysterious forests, as well as for its artificial lake built to supply electricity to the Hotel de Santa Fe. A very beautiful excursion, easy and accessible to children, allows you to reach the lake of Santa Fe from the information centre of Can Casades, watched over by three giant sequoias. Well signposted (follow the blue beacons). It takes about an hour to reach the pantà de Santa Fe ("artificial lake"). From Can Casades it is also possible to follow a 30-minute (1.1 km) circular route adapted for people with reduced mobility. The trail descends towards the Santa Fe River and continues to the Font del Frare.
