ERMITA DE SANTA FE
Modest and very old Romanesque chapel in Fogars de Montclús with a single nave and a wall-belfry
This modest and very old Romanesque chapel is the historical centre of Santa Fe. Documented since 1231, the building with a single nave, surmounted by a bell-tower-wall, was enlarged in the 16th century and then completely renovated in the 18th century. The site was once inhabited by a community of hermits grouped together under the Order of the Hermits of Santa Fe, and in the 14th century it came under the tutelage of the Rector of Fogars de Montclús.
