Gualba Black Gorge, with a difficult and steep access, suitable to discover the waterfall.
Difficult access, steep. Follow the yellow signs for the "Mediambiental Park" until you reach the bridge over the Gualba stream. From there, take the dirt track (Camí de Riells a Gualba), then after 200 meters follow the signs to "Can Prats". After 2.5 km, on the left hand side, there is a sign for the Gorg Negre trail. Leave your car here.
Reach this beautiful waterfall by means of a walk of medium difficulty (count about 30 min from the entrance of the trail). Bring good walking shoes, because at the end, it climbs! Legend has it that a group of wizards and witches, who gathered at the Black Gorge of Gualba, created storms that devastated the village. One day, the rector of Gualba, accompanied by his parishioners, would go to the Black Gorge to sprinkle it with holy water and thus imprison the witches at the bottom of its black waters. He had a large iron cross planted on the top of the mountain, where the thick storm clouds were forming, freeing Gualba from its evil spells.
