Parish church with its magnificent Renaissance altarpiece preserving its Romanesque apse
The parish church is dedicated to Saint Saturnin, martyr and first bishop of Toulouse. Restored in the 16th and 17th centuries, although documented since 1162, it houses an apse from the Romanesque period, partly modified but well preserved. The three-storey square bell tower, separated by cornices, and decorated with gargoyles in its upper part, dates from 1572. Its magnificent Renaissance altarpiece, sculpted by Antoni Comes between 1619 and 1620, was completely destroyed in a fire in July 1936. The present altarpiece dates from after the Spanish Civil War.
