Dones d'aigua at the heart of a social project for disabled people led by the city
These fairies or "lake nymphs" are legendary creatures that populate freshwater places, symbols of life, femininity and the force of nature. Of pure beauty, enjoying eternal youth, the dones d'aigua contemplate their reflection in the crystalline waters of the mountains and forests by moonlight. In Mollet del Vallès they are at the heart of a social project for disabled people run by the town. In a workshop, members of the Centre Ocupacional del Bosc and the Taller Alborada make Aigua donations from recycled materials. Furthermore, in 2019, the town council installed a 4-metre high waterwheel in the centre of Mollet, from which water springs to cool the atmosphere on hot summer days!
