Church with a Romanesque nave and a remarkable Renaissance altarpiece in Bigues I Riels
It rises in the urbanization of El Turó, on the highest point of the village of Bigues. Consecrated in 1156 by Ramon de Torroja, bishop of Barcelona, the church of St. Peter's has few remains of its original structure. It was indeed largely modified during the 16th and 18th centuries. Its plan is in the shape of a Latin cross, its nave in Romanesque style. To the left of the transept there is a remarkable Renaissance altarpiece, the Retaule del Roser.
