ESGLÉSIA DE SANTA EULÀLIA
Church with a square bell tower with a single nave and a chapel with a semi-circular apse
It was run by the monastery of Sant Cugat, then that of Sant Miquel de Fai, until the end of the 14th century, before being attached to Barcelona Cathedral. The church of Santa Eulàlia, documented from 1078, has undergone important modifications over the centuries. In the 16th and 17th centuries the body of the building was enlarged, and in 1880 the church was largely rebuilt. During the Civil War it was burnt down and its liturgical furnishings went up in smoke. Its architecture reveals a single nave with, on the north side, a chapel with a semicircular apse. To the east, the square bell tower was raised by Manuel Joaquim Raspall in 1935.
