SUSHIKYU
It is in the heart of the very pleasant Oharai-machi district, near the Naiku, that this former ryokan is located, transformed into an excellent raw fish restaurant. Some of the wood used for the construction was donated by the shrine in 1869 as part of the Shikinen Sengu. The place itself, with its parquet flooring, tatami mats and river view, is worth a visit. Bonito macerated in soy sauce on rice, tekone sushi, is the specialty. The establishment being famous, one must expect to have to queue, especially on weekends.
