EKOIN
Shukubō-style hotel, offering an authentic experience, with some rooms equipped with bathrooms and toilets
To test out a night in shukubō, pilgrim accommodation, the Ekoin is a great option. This Buddhist temple, established 1100 years ago, offers an authentic experience with a modern twist, with some rooms having their own bathroom and toilet. Some of the monks speak English. The vegetarian cuisine is succulent and plentiful. In the morning, if one wishes, one can participate in the Goma fire ritual as well as the service. A real change of scenery. The temple is located not far from the entrance of the Okunoin.
