It stands at the entrance to the city. When you arrive from the cable car, it is the first monument you will see. The Daimon is the main gate of Koyasan. It is 25 meters high and was rebuilt in 1705. Imposing statues of deities on either side guard the entrance to the city. Crossing the road in front of the gate, one can enjoy a clear panoramic view of the area. If the weather is with you, it is possible to see the island of Awaji in the distance. The Daimon is lit up at night. From there, the discovery of the site begins.
