SAINT-MARTIN'S ABBEY
A former Benedictine abbey, rich in history and classified as a historical monument, with a beautiful view of the Dives valley.
Founded in 1048 by Roger II of Montgomery (one of the principal members of the feudal aristocracy of Normandy), and consecrated in 1059 by Odon de Conteville, bishop of Bayeux, the Benedictine abbey of Saint-Martin de Troarn has been disused since the French Revolution, following major destruction. Unfortunately, it is impossible to visit this building rich in history, classified as a historical monument since 1921. Today, only one building remains, a vestige visible from the road to Rouen. To see in spite of everything for the magnificent panorama on the valley of Dives.
