Located not far from the old Udatsu district, this theater was built in 1934 mainly to program kabuki performances. After the Second World War, the establishment was converted into a cinema. As the exploitation was not very profitable, the place closed its doors in 1995. Its demolition was avoided and it is now open to visitors who can discover its interior. It is a fine example of early 20th century Japanese theatre.
