The famous castle from the Downton Abbey series was not transformed for filming: you can walk through the superb library, dining room and bedrooms as if you were one of the characters. The Carnarvon family still lives here. In the basement, you won't find the show's kitchens, but an exhibition of Egyptian antiquities: Lord Carnarvon was a patron of Howard Carter's excavation campaigns, which led to the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb. Don't miss a stroll through the garden and a Pimm's at the refreshment bar!
