Ryogonji Temple, located in the town of Ayabe, next to the town of Fukuchiyama, is famous for its thousands of azaleas, which bloom in the spring, and for its lotuses in the summer. It is the second of the 25 most famous flower temples in western Japan. Ryogonji is an equally surprising visit, as there are representations of crows in all seasons on the paper sliding doors, painted by the artist Ikka Nagai. Visitors must make a reservation before their visit to see his work.
