CHIESA DI SAN GIORGIO
Parish church in Aragonese Gothic style, located in the village of Pozzomaggiore
Located in the village of Pozzomaggiore, the parish church in Aragonese Gothic style is made of limestone keystones. It dates back to the 16th century and was built in successive stages. The oldest date is on the tombstone of Elena de Leda (1551). The date of 1570 has been engraved on the arch of the third chapel on the right, that of 1598 on the fourth, and so on. The style of these two chapels differs from that of the others. The nave is divided into five bays, separated from each other by pointed arches and covered with a star-shaped vault.
