Open all year round. Guided tours with a guide in period costume - every Tuesday and Friday at 3pm in high season. Free up to 12 years old. Adult: 6 €. Reservations until 12 noon on the day of the visit by calling 03 89 72 56 66 (and until 6 p.m. on Saturdays for Sunday visits). Guided tour. Animations.

La ville a tout pour séduire, avec ses fortifications et les célèbres remparts érigés par VAUBAN. L'office du tourisme propose une visite guidée de ce patrimoine, dont l'unique originalité réside dans son costume d'époque. Ne comptez pas sur lui pour percer les secrets de VAUBAN, tant son discours est récité et débité sans passion.
Choisissez plutôt un bon guide touristique et faites votre visite en solitaire, en passant par le musée VAUBAN.

Disappointed by the guided tour, the fortifications are interesting but visiting in a horse-drawn carriage is BOF, few flowers city (even in summer), too mineral, few efforts are you would say...

the city is not development and the ramparts which are magnificent even less. you get the feeling that all is the abandonment and that time stopped here...
