This small nature sanctuary dedicated to the shy spectacled bear(oso andino) is located 35 minutes from the center of Pimampiro. Danilo Vásquez, a specialized naturalist guide, has dedicated years of his life to monitoring a family of Andean bears(tremarctus ornatus) in the highland rainforests of the parish of Mariano Acosta, which is part of Pimampiro canton. The tour includes viewing the best video footage from cameras hidden in the forest, live observation and a snack with a good glass of wine or juice.
