ZAYED NATIONAL MUSEUM
Museum exploiting the life of Sheikh Zayed, the founder of the United Arab Emirates, the country's history and its cultural heritage.
Norman Foster is the architect of this museum whose five steel towers (the highest will rise to 124 m) evoke the wings of a falcon. It will pay tribute to the founder of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed, but also to the country's history and cultural heritage. Seven themes will make up the permanent exhibition: the life of Sheikh Zayed, falconry, the history of the Emirates, land and water, faith and Islam, life in the desert, oases and mountains, and life at sea and on the coast. The possible opening is scheduled for 2025.
