GUGGENHEIM ABU DHABI
The museum's interior is organized to accommodate contemporary and monumental works from 1960 to the present day.
Designed by architect Frank Gehry, the architecture of the Guggenheim Museum combines the architect's personal style with that of a revisited local tradition. Indeed, the structure, which may appear chaotic from the outside, is in fact an evocation of ancient wind towers, while inside, it reveals a subtle organization of vertical and horizontal spaces, inside and out, adapted to contemporary and monumental works. The collection will cover the period from 1960 to the present day. Opening planned for 2025.
