MOSQUÉE DE GUERRE
A pretty wooden mosque of modest dimensions, at an altitude of 1,353 m, used for pilgrimage, picnics and meetings.
Located at 1 353 m above sea level, this pretty wooden mosque (Ratna Džamija) was built by Muslim soldiers of the Bosnian army during the last war. Isolated on Mount Igman and without a place of worship, they erected the building in the middle of the pine trees, in the middle of winter, between November 1993 and February 1994. Of modest dimensions (10 x 12 m), it was restored in 2000 and serves as a place of "pilgrimage", picnic and meeting for veterans and their families. It is one of the main attractions for hikers on Mount Igman.
