Maxbräu is the restaurant and microbrewery of the Hotel Maximilian above and is also one of the best places in Oberammergau to eat Bavarian food in a setting that combines tradition and modernity. The food is traditional Bavarian and hearty, and the food is well prepared. The beer served here is brewed on the premises and you can see the two large copper vats, shiny as new, inside the restaurant. Maxbräu also make a delicious Radler (a mixed brew) which we recommend you try. Several vegetarian choices.
