RATHAUS FÜRTH
City Hall features a tower with campanile bells that play Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven every day.
With its Tuscan campanile-like tower, Fürth's town hall gives the impression of being in Italy for a moment. And that's no accident. Its architect, Friedrich Bürklein, was directly inspired by the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. Even today, the Rathaus bears witness to the city's 19th-century boom, and to the municipality's desire to give the city a representative building. A special feature of the Town Hall: every day at 12.04 p.m., the campanile bells play Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven.
