CHAMPAGNE DOYARD MAHE
Old mill with wooden presses, stainless steel vat room and candlelit cellar, maker of Doyard-Mahé champagne
This house is located in an old mill where paillons (straw cases to prevent bottle breakage) were made. Carole and Juliette welcome you for a tasting and a candlelit tour of the cellar. We learn that champagne is handled 40 times before it reaches the table: after aging in the cellar, each bottle is stirred and disgorged by hand. In fine weather, the visit also includes a visit to the flower-filled garden. We love the place, the tradition and the history that unfolds before our eyes...
