BROKEN RIVER SKI FIELD

One and a half hours from Christchurch, Broken River is a large valley served by five lifts. It is a 20-minute walk from the parking lot located 6 km from SH73. The highest point is 1,820 m (4,000 ft) with a vertical drop of 420 m (4,000 ft). This station is also reserved for skiers and snowboarders of good level. It is open between June and October, depending on the weather conditions. Lodging and meals are available in lodges nicely installed in the middle of the trees, 5 minutes walk from the lifts. Unpaved road.
