The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New Orleans Airport is a simple, convenient 3-star hotel. It's just 3.2 km from the airport and Lafreniere Park. Located on loud roadway, air conditioner was loud and didn't work with the thermostat. Was not welcomed as a Diamond member with an explanation of benefits nor an upgrade by the unkind receptionist with red hair. Parking was not explained either. Engineer came to room and was eager to assist but he suggested we move rooms. Later another engineer came and told us "that's how it is". Pool is closed and was not listed online as closed. Says temporarily closed on the gate but it's empty (no water) and looks permanently closed. Also, the rooms do not block out light even when the curtains are closed. Definitely will not return to this location.

If your going to the airport it's handy. Its pretty basic with no frills. It's ok.
