This wildlife preserve stretches along the Gulf Coast for about 40 miles. Composed of inland wetlands, it is known for its native wildlife, fishing industry and wetland and marsh research. Fishing and boating are popular activities, as well as bird watching. Please note that a permit is required to access the reserve (see website) and that camping is not permitted on site.
