Every year, the small community of Lutcher builds wooden pyramids, called bonfires, and sets them alight on Christmas Eve. Legend has it that these fires show Santa the way. In addition to this big event that draws the crowds, a festival is also held in the park at the beginning of the month, with live concerts, cooking and bonfires competitions ( bonfires are also lit during the festival), fireworks displays, small marathons, children's activities, craft and local food stalls, and more.
