The Terra Villa dwelling is an old restored earthen farmhouse, offering workshops for making earthen pieces.
Spread between the villages of Ouzilly-Vignolles and Sauzeau, around a hundred mud houses have stood the test of time. They were built using an ancestral system of piling up earth levees, mainly from the marshes, known as the "bauge" technique. The Terra Villa dwelling is a former 17th-century earthen farmhouse, now a museum, where you can learn all the secrets of this construction method in a simple, educational way. Conferences are offered throughout the year.
