MOULIN DE CHOLLAY
This water mill has adapted to technological change by using the hydraulic energy of the Dive river
This water mill, over 700 years old, has adapted to technological developments by using the hydraulic energy of the Dive, a river with which it lives in perfect communion. A "sagebien" type wheel, a system invented by Alphonse Sagebien in the 19th century, drives a permanent magnet generator installed in 2014 that allows the production of electricity. The association Divergences, installed on site, offers animations during the Journées du patrimoine de Pays et des Moulins to discover the place and its history.
