This classic hotel in the west of Tokyo may be off-center, but it's got it all: a wide choice of reasonably priced rooms, easy access (1 minute walk from Fuchu station), and proximity to major urban sites (around 20 minutes by train from Shinjuku). The city is famous for its racecourse, where families go on weekends. The hotel bar draws inspiration from this to create original cocktails. Finally, the farm-to-table concept of the Tohoku Bokujo restaurant, using 100% organic ingredients from a farm in northern Japan, is also well worth a visit.
