Located in Inokashira Park near the Ghibli Museum, the zoo offers many discovery activities for children. Hanako, the Asian elephant who was the star of the park for decades, passed away in 2016. Her statue now stands in front of Kichijoji Station. While not exceptional, it is a pleasant setting for a family stroll. On weekends, the crowd is guaranteed. The destination is indeed very popular with Tokyoites who come to breathe the fresh air.
