In the delightful open-air park of Koganei, some 30 buildings have been constructed with the aim of preserving a small part of the architectural tradition of the Edo period and showcasing Japanese know-how in this field. The interiors of the houses have also been fully reconstructed, allowing visitors to appreciate Japanese family building techniques. A very good museum, only twenty minutes from Shinjuku.
