The oldest silk factory with all the equipment and tools specific to the craft around silk.
Built in just two years, between 1676 and 1678, it is the oldest silk factory still in existence in Europe. The "Piedmont Silk Factory Museum" is the heart of the Filatoio de Caraglio, with all the materials and tools specific to the silk craft dating back to the 17thand 18thcenturies ! Today, the building and its contents bear incredible witness to this past, and the rehabilitation of the factory for cultural purposes has saved it.
