Castle with a romantic park and a library with more than 25,000 old books.

60 km from Turin, Masino castle and park dominate the Canavese plain. From a defensive role in the Middle Ages, it was gradually transformed into a pleasure house, with elegant interior decoration and terraces replacing the fortifications, to achieve a very luxurious result in the ^17th and ^18th centuries. The library houses over 25,000 antique volumes. The castle is surrounded by a romantic park with one of the largest green mazes in Italy.

Punti positivi: il parco è bellissimo e ottimo per intrattenere i bambini; punti negativi: organizzazione pessima, abbiamo fatto 1 ora e mezza di coda con personale lento e non in grado di affrontare gli imprevisti e i grandi numeri; pessimo il personale di ingresso al castello, NON si può entrare con i passeggini (alla faccia dell’accessibilità alle famiglie e alla disabilità, sostenendo che le ruote di gomma del mio passeggino gli rovinavano i pavimenti) e il personale è rigido e per nulla disponibile a risolvere i problemi. Bar affollato e lento. Il parco ed il castello sono una risorsa immensa, gestita in modo pessimo.
