SENTIER RILKE

This path, between Duino and Sistiana, is dedicated to the Prague poet Rainer Maria Rilke, who stayed at the castle between 1911 and 1912, and liked to walk there... A hike that should be done on a clear day, because the path winds for 2 km through a nature reserve that protects a magnificent landscape of plunging cliffs. Those who are afraid of heights should abstain! As you pass, you will see the silhouette of the two castles of Duino, each on its rocky promontory, one a medieval fortress in ruins, a little isolated, the other majestic with its imposing silhouette, much visited
